TURIN, ITALY

Bruno Barberis is Former President of International Centre of Sindonology in Turin he is internationally recognised for having developed the largest network of Shroud Centers and the Shroud Museum of the Archconfraternity of the Holy Shroud and for having organized international symposiums, published books and fostered devotion to the Holy Shroud.

Barberis is a member of the Scientific Committee for the conservation of the Shroud since 1991 and he started researching the Shroud from a scientific angle in 1975.

Since, 1977 he has been a member of the Confraternity of the Holy Shroud of Turin as well as the International Centre of Sindonology of Turin. He has authored 20 books and more than 150 papers on the Shroud, published in national and international journals and magazines.

​His expertise in scientific knowledge of the Shroud has been shared across the board and he has delivered over 2900 lectures on the Shroud Internationally.
