Dr Sami is a specialist in Islamic art and Islamic history, having lived and worked in the Middle East for over a decade.
Formerly a curator at the British Museum, Sami recently completed a postdoctorate from the Oxford University Khalili Islamic Research Centre and was a visiting lecturer at the Cambridge University Centre of Islamic Studies whilst, completing his PhD at SOAS.
He has curated exhibitions on Islamic Art across the world, most recently the Hajj exhibition at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. He now works as a freelance consultant, developing some of the largest museum projects in the Middle East.
