What is the Shroud?

The Shroud of Turin is the ‘alleged’ burial cloth of Jesus
Christ(as). The Gospels in the New Testament state that after the
Crucifxion, Jesus Christ(as) was wrapped in a linen cloth:

‘And he bought fne linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in
the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock,
and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.’ Mark 15:46

‘And there came also Nicodemus, which at the frst came to Jesus by
night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred po
[weight]. Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen cloth
with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.’ John 19:39-40
