What is the Shroud? |
The Shroud of Turin is the ‘alleged’ burial cloth of Jesus
Christ(as). The Gospels in the New Testament state that after the Crucifxion, Jesus Christ(as) was wrapped in a linen cloth: ‘And he bought fne linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.’ Mark 15:46 ‘And there came also Nicodemus, which at the frst came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred po [weight]. Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen cloth with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.’ John 19:39-40 The Shroud of Turin is the ‘alleged’ burial cloth of Jesus
Christas. The Gospels in the New Testament state that after the
